Stylish star Allu Arjun and Anu Emanuel have paired up for the first time in this movie which marks the debut of the famous writer Vakkantham Vamsi as a director. The film is widely released in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu languages. The movie is patriotic drama. Music is scored by Vishal-Shekar. After a huge round of promotions, this film has hit the screens today.
Naa Peru Surya is about a bullheaded army man, Surya (Allu Arjun) with anger management issues who almost loses his job due to an impulsive decision he takes. His godfather (Rao Ramesh) convinces Colonel Sanjay Srivasthav (Boman Irani), to let him keep his job. Except, he will only be able to do so, if he manages to get a no objection certificate from India’s famed psychologist Dr. Rama Krishnan Raju (Arjun). However, Surya and the psychologist seem to share a past – that the psychologist is none other than Surya’s own dad whom he had left years back because of personal issues.
The film has all the requirements of a commercial potboiler, there’s a love track, a family drama, an ambitious man striving to make it big in his career, high powered realistic fight scenes and highly choreographed songs. The level of dedication that Allu Arjun showed in the film is brilliant and his hard work can be seen in every frame. Allu Arjun leads from the front and carries the film on his shoulders. You can give this film a shot but keep your expectations in check.
