CrossFit

A strength and conditioning programme developed by Greg Asmani, CrossFit is for those who want to get fit, but don’t like the idea of spending hours with machines in a gym. All the workouts are based on functional movements, and the purpose of the routine is to make an individual fit and healthy in general.  In CrossFit training, you would run, jump, climb a tree or a rope, move things around and more. The focus is on naturally occurring movements, and, to do these well, a person needs stamina, coordination and flexibility.

Weight Training

If you want to gain muscle mass, Weight training is the way forward.  but there are different ways to weight train. First of all, you need to figure out what kind of routine you want to follow depending on your body type, medical history and goals. If you are a beginner, don’t lift weights for more than 15 minutes. When you lift weights, a lot of muscle tear happens and it takes about 48 hours for the muscles to recover. So, go slow! Also, pair weight training with other exercises to attain total fitness.

High Intensity Interval Training

Minimum rest and maximum output are the keys to this workout. From running to weight training, HIIT can be done for anything depending on your goal. As the name suggests, the objective of the workout is to raise your heart rate from 110–120 to about 170–180 in a short period of time with minimum intervals between workouts. Since it involves a lot of stamina and coordination, anyone who is willing to start HIIT must do some very basic movement exercise for at least two to six weeks before they start.

Suspension Training

If you’re tired of moving from one machine to another for a complete body workout, move to TRX suspension training. Using a system of ropes, the fitness routine combines strength and flexibility. It is a portable equipment that you can use anywhere you go. Depending on the area you want to focus on, you can do a variety of exercises. In TRX, you use your own body weight and you are working on your core all the time. So, it is a great exercise for flat abs. The only thing to remember while attempting TRX is that you must anchor the device right.

Yoga

Men mostly focus on building muscle mass, and mental wellbeing and flexibility tend to take a back seat for them. But experts believe that yoga is the one form of exercise that every man should practice to attain balance of body, mind and soul. Flexibility is as important for men as it is for women. And the most important aspect of yoga is flexibility. So, if you want to achieve overall health and wellness, do yoga at least twice a week. Apart from toning your body and making it more flexible, yoga also helps in the journey of self discovery.
