Xiaomi Backed Huami Launches Two New Wearables in India

Xiaomi-backed wearable brand Huami launched two smartwatches “Amazfit Pace” and “Amazfit Cor” for fitness enthusiasts in India which are priced at 9,999  and Rs 3,999 respectively, and are available on Amazon India exclusive. Amazfit Cor falls mostly in the fitness band category, Amazfit Pace is a smartwatch with a round dial and all essential sensors.

The Amazfit Cor sports a 1.23-inch IPS LCD color display that’s covered with 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 atop and has a resolution of 160 x 80 pixels.  It’s safe to use in water at a depth of up to 50 meters. The Cor also comes with other features like 7-day weather forecast, alarms, timer and stopwatch. Keeping the Cor up and running is a 170 mAh battery that Huami says can offer 12-day battery life (based on 100 messages per day, 50 times lift wrist and 1-hour run per week). This band comes with 5 ATM waterproof rating.

The Amazfit Pace features a 1.23-inch IPS LCD color touch display and comes with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, as well as an anti-fingerprint coating. With ceramic bezels, this watch is designed within a stainless steel shell, and comes with an anti-perspirant silicone sports band. This wearable can provide up to 36 hours of battery backup, while GPS tracking and heart-rate monitor are kept running, as well as a battery life of up to 11 days. It comes with IP67 certification for water resistance, and comes with 3-axis accelerometer for activity, sports and sleep tracking.

Users can check time through the ‘Always On Display’ mode, and can keeping track of exercise routes and routines. They are able to support both outdoor and indoor running, and checks heartbeat under various modes. The devices can be connected wirelessly to Bluetooth earbuds. The user can receive notifications for emails, SMS messages, call reminders, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Snap, Slack, weather forecasts and other apps from their mobile phones.

Both these trackers offer data of all activities through the Amazfit Watch App 2.0, as well as the Mi Sports Data app. Apple users running devices with iOS 8 and above, and Android users running devices operating on Android 4.4 and above will be able to access these devices, and their respective apps.
